X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer announced today via Twitter that Quicksilver is in his film and will be played by American Horror Story star Evan Peters.
Quicksilver, along with his sister Scarlet Witch, were recently confirmed as being in Joss Whedon’s script for Marvel’s The Avengers 2. But Quicksilver, aka Pietro Maximoff, is also the son of Magneto in the comics and a mutant, two elements Marvel/Disney couldn’t use in Avengers 2 since those are part of Fox’s overall X-Men rights deal.
So the question is, can Whedon continue to go through with using Quicksilver in their film?

This feels like a big slap in the face…No clue how it would work in Avengers 2 now.
