Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter Review

Marvel One Shot

The best thing about Marvel One Shots is that it’s an opportunity taken by Marvel Studios to not only spotlight characters who were secondary, but also give you a closer look into the world they live in. In this short, Agent Carter takes the stage as last we saw she was saying farewell to Steve Rogers before he crashed into the sea.

agent carterThis was exciting and took advantage of the side to Carter which thrives off of actions. She;s not like the many woman during that time period. Being on the front line and doesn’t sit on the sidelines when there’s work to be done. She was a very important part of Captain America, and many would have wondered where she’d end up. As comic readers we are aware that her niece is Sharon Carter who is a part of Steve’s present and this gives us that opportunity to see what happened between then and now.

It was well executed putting her in a serious situation and still find humor in it. She just makes it all look easy and that adds to her charm both in dialogue and in motion. This is just another example of how Marvel Entertainment has fun with the ideology of superheroics and this was a great way to display that. As a female hero so to speak, this was something that could open doors to more such as herself getting more exposure on-screen and making Marvel One Shots something memorable as an ongoing series.

Go out and buy the Iron Man 3 DVD/Blu-Ray to see what is, and what could be.

Score: 4/5
