Max Landis Plans to Pitch Wonder Woman Movie to Warner Bros.

The man who wrote the well received movie, Chronicle. One which showcased the prospect of superheroes in a new light that impressed many. Which brings us to what he can bring to the table when faced with the question of what he can do with established heroes. Ones such as Wonder Woman who has been neglected of her time on the big screen.

As he said in response to a question on Reddit, “[I’d like to do] either a version of Green Lantern that played like ET meets Stand By Me using the goth/punk seen and Kyle Rayner, or Wonder Woman, using a pitch that I intend to make to WB.”

The reaction to this can vary because many have different views of Landis, but I’d feel pretty safe with Wonder Woman in his hands. This is someone who is passed off as harsh, yet does so showing the passion he has for comics and the source material. He understands Superman enough to see the flaws in the recent film and even had a script for a movie that would have been worth seeing on the big screen. If Landis gets the opportunity I say we would do best to hold judgement till he produces something to make an opinion of, otherwise it’s better than getting nothing at all.
